How long should a suspension bush last before needing to be replaced?

I have just had "suspension arm rear bush on limit" come up as an advisory on the MoT for my car which is still under Audi warranty. The car only has 40k on clock and is a ‘67 plate. Is this an expected wear and tear item for this age/mileage?

Suspension bushes are components that will eventually wear out, but their lifespan can be affected by particularly harsh roads or environmental factors, so how the cars has been used may have some bearing on this. An advisory is not a failure so it may be that the bush will pass future MoTs, but we would suggest having it inspected and replaced. It may not be covered under your warranty as it is potentially a consumable part, but you may wish to contact your dealer in the first instance to confirm.
