Buying a car at auction without a V5

I have recently visited BCA car Auctions to get the feel of the place with a view to buy soon, but some vehicles do not have a V5 document. Is it safe to buy such a vehicle at an auction especially as the DVLA website advises against buying such vehicles. What are your views on this matter?

Sloppy fleet management often leads to cars going to auction without documents. Bit if BCA guarantees you title to the car you have no need to worry. Just get a form V62 and register the car in your name.
