Whay hybrid hatchback do you recommend?
I'm looking for a small-medium hybrid (self-charging) hatchback that I can use predominantly for 300 miles round trips once a fortnight. I'm looking for reliability, a strong safety record, efficiency, and ideally a car with minimal depreciation. I was looking at the Toyota Corolla/Auris but any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated. My budget is around £10k.

The Toyoyta Corolla is a great choice and worth going for over the earlier Toyota Auris, but it'd be a stretch on your budget. Also worth considering is the Toyota Yaris, which is smaller, but still a decent size, and much easier for your budget. For another hybrid option, you could look at the Hyundai Ioniq.
If you cover no more than 100 miles per day and have easy access to a charging point at home or work, then an EV is ideal for you.
