What car do you suggest for an older female?
I'm a 75 year old female looking for a 'new' smallish, second hand car. I would require the following: hatchback, economic to maintain, 2020 or younger, £14/15K. My trips are mainly local, but want it to be comfortable enough for longer UK trips if required. I am post-operative but have no disabilities and would like a choice of 1 or 2 to focus my search.
I have previously asked for your advice and as a result have had a Peugeot 206/207 with which I have been very happy.
My mobile mechanic recommended a Ford Fiesta but also did not recommend an EV or hybrid, but I am wondering if this is for his benefit or mine?

If you're mostly covering local mileage and are able to charge at home via a home wallbox (installation of which will be around £1,000), an EV might actually make a lot of sense. They're also very easy and relaxing to drive. If you enjoyed your Peugeot 206 and 207, a Peugeot E-208 might be a look – £14,000-£15,000 will be plenty. You could go a bit lower to cover the cost of the wallbox installation, and still have enough for a young car with low mileage. If you'd prefer a petrol-powered car, for that sort of money we'd be looking at either a Volkswagen Polo or Skoda Fabia, which are closely related.
