Are Ford EcoBoost engines are reliable?

Can you let me know if either of the Ford 1.5T and 1.6T EcoBoost engines suffer from problems like the smaller 999cc units? Also does either engine have a wet belt ?

Reports from readers suggest that there are far fewer issues with the larger capacity EcoBoost engines compared to the earlier 1.0-litre units and both the 1.5- and 1.6-litre EcoBoost have a dry timing belt. The 1.5-litre EcoBoost switched to a timing chain around 2018 which offers potentially superior reliability also. As always we would looking for a car that has a comprehensive service history from a main dealer and/or a quality independent specialist.
