What car is easy to get into for someone with restricted movement of the legs?
I have restricted movement of my legs and have problems getting in and out of cars. My VW Passat was a lovely car but low to the ground making it difficult to get out of. I changed it for a BMW X1 thinking I had resolved the problem. However, I now have problems getting into this one because I cannot lift my leg high enough to get in.
I am sure that the older style of large cars were better for me. Any suggestions for what I could look for? It must be automatic. My budget would be about £20k-£25k.

A crossover estate could be the answer - e.g. a Volvo V60 Cross Country. It'll sit higher than the Passat without being as high as a compact SUV like the X1. The other option is a used luxury car, e.g. an Audi A8, with air suspension. This will give the option to raise the ride height to aid ingress/egress, but the trade-off here will be the likelihood of higher running costs.
