Which Honda Jazz should I buy?

I am looking to replace my Perodua Myvi with a Honda Jazz. Is a petrol model more reliable that the latest hybrid? Can you recommend which model to buy? I realise the cost is quite a lot more for the hybrid but there is so much choice I am bewildered.

It's hard to tell what the long-term reliability of the hybrid model will be like, but Honda has an excellent reliability record and has been making hybrid systems for many years, so we wouldn't be put off from buying one. The current model, on sale since 2020, is only available as a hybrid, which might make your choice a little easier. If you're going for the previous-generation car, the 1.5-litre petrol with a manual gearbox would be our recommendation. The 1.3 is a little sluggish, and the CVT automatic is a bit of an acquired taste.
