Oil leak on Volkswagen Golf.

I have a problem with my mk4 Golf 1.8t AGU. I have found a lot of oil in the intercooler and have been told that the turbocharger is on its way out?? The turbo seems to work fine and the car drives and pulls just like it should.

Well before you consider changing the turbo we would suggest that you check your Air Filter, also the crankcase breather. Then you could try cleaning out the Intercooler, refit it and run for a while and then re check. If you are still getting oil in the IC then the seals may have worn in the Turbo.
