Does the VW Polo 1.0 Turbo R-Line have a timing chain?

I have just bought a brand new Polo 1.0 R line 3 cylinder Automatic. I can’t get an answer whether this engine is a belt or chain.

You can use our timing belt or timing chain checker here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/advice/owning-advice/timing-c...# but all 1.0-litre versions of the Polo have a timing belt.
