Can I renew a driving licence without a passport?

Our passport has expired and we are not renewing it. Can we still apply to renew our driving licence online?

If you are renewing your driving licence but do not need to renew your driving licence photo you can do so without a valid passport. If this is not the case we would suggest applying by post - if you have not been sent form D46P in the post you can use a D1 form obtainable from a Post Office.
