Is it illegal to disable the AdBlu system and can the disablement be checked say with a MoT?

It is illegal to disable the AdBlu system if the vehicle is being used on the public road and doing so could also invalidate your insurance policy. The MoT test checks that the AdBlu light illuminates and then goes out when the vehicle is started, so this may cause the vehicle to fail if this does not occur.
