Why aren't VW Passat CCs available?

Three of my work colleagues and myself have ordred VW Passat CC 170GT, but have now been advised by Arnold Clarke Contracts that there are no cars available until 2012.

The first order was placed in Nov 2010 and we have been notified today, (11/03/11) that we must look for an alternative but similar spec.

What's VW up to? Is there a genuine problem and why the delay? Surely not the £ v Euro, because that would apply to VW Passat/Audi/Skoda etc

Have been offered Mazda 6 Sports 180 as alternative...not convinced.

Very good looking, stylish alternative to the standard Passat. Coupe looks with plenty of rear passenger space. Quality improvements.
