What is the lead time for new Citroen Berlingo M?

Back in the spring I ordered a new Citroen Berlingo M (standard wheelbase) in XTR trim with the 130PS petrol engine and automatic gearbox, intending to finance on a PCP scheme. The car was highly specced - Modutop, lots of options.

My question is, do you have any insider or even anecdotal knowledge of the lead time for a new build of this make and model?

The order was signed off mid-May, it's now mid-November and the dealership say they still have no idea when the car will be ready. They have not yet been given a build number.

I understand we're up against an unholy combination of Covid-19, Brexit, high demand for vans and semiconductor shortages, and all those customisations I ordered will add delay.

The dealership suspect delivery won't happen until after Christmas now, but whether than means January or even next May no one can tell me. Do you have any insights?

The semiconductor shortage is causing delays across the board and I'm afraid I don't have any insight on that particular make and model. As you say, the customisations will also add delay, unfortunately.

I would continue to keep in regular contact with the dealership.
