Head in the McClouds

I have arranged a test drive of the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo as I like the versatility of a hatchback but I also want comfort. Is there any other high quality hatchback that you can recommend because I'm not aware of any?

A possible alternative to the 5GT 335i is the Infniti EX37GT video demonstrated here:

A further possible alternative to the 5GT 3.0D is the Audi Q5 3.0 V6 TDI Sportback, the 2.0TDI 170 of which is video demonstrated here:

But neither are quite the long distance tourer the 5 Gran Turismo is.
