I think used car prices will be with us for the remainder of 2021 and most of 2022.

The pandemic and its numerous lockdowns have caused significant disruption to the supply chain that supports the manufacturer of new vehicles. There is also a global shortage of semiconductors, which will take two or possibly three years to solve. Factor in two or three years of falling new car sales before the pandemic and it's easy to see why there is a shortage of used cars.
