Retro-sceptic

I’m thinking of buying a 06/06 plate Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4 auto with 16,000 on clock for £5,995. What do you think and what would compare? I can go up to £8,000.

I quite like them, especially in black. They look like 1952 Ford Prefects. They don't handle brilliantly, but they are more MPV than hatchback. Book retail is £6,600, so the price is fair. Annual VED will be a bit stiff with CO2 at 251g/km: £405 this year and £425 next year. Comparative cars are Renault Scenic, Ford C-Max, Citroen Xsara Picasso, KIA Carens, but none have the same retro look.
