Three across

I live in London and currently drive an 10-year-old Ford Mondeo which has been very reliable and which I have no reason to change other than that I will soon be a father again. I will have three young children (0m, 18m, 36m) all in car seats and I cannot see how to easily juggle fitting them all in the current car. Even if I could squeeze the seats in it would be horribly difficult to strap the middle child in. I have looked at some MPVs but so many seem to have no boot space left if they have a third row of seats which is not an option with lugging round several buggies. What are my options? Do I have to get some vast Viano/Alhambra/Galaxy and forever look like a mini-cab driver? Do you have any advice?
