Should I be concerned about a used car that's done 10,000 miles in 8 months?

I’ve seen a diesel Volkswagen Golf, which was registered in March 2020, but it has done nearly 10,000 miles in 8 months. Could you give me some advice on whether I should be concerned about the mileage of the car, please? It's being sold by the main dealer. Many thanks.

No – if anything, it's better than a diesel car that's hardly been used or has covered lots of short journeys. Like most year-old cars, though, it's probably been a fleet or hire car. Don't let this concern you too much but the dealer should be honest about the former keeper.
