I got rid of a rusty 2001 Merc and have a new 2009 Ford. Can you advise me on a polish/paint protector as I leave the car out in the elements quite a lot? You have mentioned in your Telegraph motoring page a product called ''Autoglym'' or something similar.

Autoglym Super Resin polish topped off with 2 - 3 applications of
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. You need a big shed or a dry day because each coat of extra gloss takes at least an hour to cure.
