When does a timing belt need replaced?

When should a timing chain be replaced on a 2007 vehicle? It has done 177,000 miles.

The timing chain should last the life of the car, so long as the oil is kept clean. That means an oil and filter change every 12,000 miles or 12 months (whichever comes first).
