Slightly vogue

I am faced with a dilemma that I hope you may be able to help me resolve. I am the proud owner of a 2004 Range Rover Vogue automatic that I have owned since new. It has done 53,000 trouble free miles. It was purchased with a 5 year "free" servicing package and I have also purchased an additional annual warranty package (from Land Rover) since it reached 3 years old. Most of my journeys are local - round trips of, say, 30 miles with occasional motorway journeys (say once a month) of 100 miles. I prefer a vehicle with a high driving position - especially when driving at night - and I need to be able to tow a livestock trailer and carry dogs. Whilst I love the Range Rover, I am increasingly concerned by the cost of running it - both in terms of fuel inefficiency and servicing. I don't want to spend more than £10,000 plus the trade in value of the Range Rover. Any ideas please?

Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 diesel, preferably the 6-speed auto 194PS 2010 model, but the previous 150PS 2.2 diesel with 5-speed auto was okay. Alternatively the new KIA Sorento, which is the same under the skin.
