Type of car

Could you point me in right direction for another car? I am 72 and now do about 9000 miles a year. About 3500 is for going to France and the rest is local. I would like something that fulfills the following: 1 Is very economical; 2 can bring back about 120 bottles of wine form France; 3 is big enough to pick up; 2 grandchildren from school; 4 is an automatic; 5 can cruise on the motorways (france) at 80mph; 6 is reasonably comfortable. I am ok with a good s/hand or new and would put a top limit of £24000 to pay. I have looked at Toyota Prius - anything eles you would consider?
