My 2017 Fabia Mk III is a 1.2TSI 90PS CJZC spec engine. I found the following Q & A on the briskoda.net Fabia Mk III forum: -
Q - "Are you using the Aircon regularly even during winter? You need to run the AC at least weekly to lubricate the compressor bearings and lubricate the seal with pag oil in the gas".
A - "Not so with these variable displacement compressors, they run continuously but at low displacement if the A/C is not switched on, so there should never be any issues with seals and pipe inners "drying out" as a small amount of oil will get carried round the system with the minimal quantity of R134A being circulated."

Is the answer correct?

Thank you.

That's now to me but I won't contradict it. However, being a 2017, your a/c is probably filled with R1234YF refrigerant, not R134a and R1234YF is flammable, is prone to leaking and costs four times as much. I'm getting a lot of reports of premature leakage of R1234YF, typically more than 75% by 2 years old.
