Second generation 5-door Ignis now 3,770mm long by 1,605mm wide and 1,605mm high.
1,326cc chain cam 69kW (92bhp), 118Nm (87 lb ft) torque does 99mph, 0-60 in 10.8 seconds, 43.5mpg combined, emits 154g/km CO2. 1,490cc chain cam 73kW (98bhp), 133Nm (98 lb ft) torque does 103mph, 0-60 in 10.7 seconds, 39.2mpg combines, emits 172g/km CO2 and 174g/km 4GRIP four wheel drive. Both engines Euro 4.
4-speed auto option for 1.5. High ride liked by elderly. Five three point seatbelts. Standard radio/CD. Electric PAS. ABS with EBD.
Luggage area 665mm long x 1,119mm wide holds 526 litres and expands to 1,002 litres with rear seats folded. Weighs 955 - 1,010kg.

What to watch out for
Automatic transmissions prone to failure and cost £3,650 to replace.
Four wheel drive transmission prone to failure if run on different size tyres front to back. This confuses the system which can engage 4WD and diff lock at speed on tarmac and leads to self destruction of the transmission. Costs £3,450 to replace.
