Stylish and reliable load carrier

Three years ago I was on the look out for a stylish estate car that wasn't too big or boringly 'boxy' to replace my little Fiat Grande Punto: I needed the extra load capacity to transport my son and daughter (and associated clutter - including a cross-trainer!!!) to-and-fro their respective universities.
My local Renault dealer had just taken delivery of a new Sport Tourer in metallic Mercury Silver, and it looked an absolute cracker.
It fitted the bill perfectly.
Three years and almost 30,000 miles on: motoring harmony.
Day-to-day she averages 56mpg, but on extended long motorway hauls that climbs to the mid-sixties for every gallon.
Nothing has gone wrong, nothing has fallen off and there are absolutely no rattles.
In a sentence... 'she looks, behaves and drives like a brand new car'.
Back in May of this year (2013) my wife and I set off from home (Lincolnshire) to drive down to Meiringen in Switzerland: the Megane was a delight, and to cap it all we arrived at our destination (almost 800 miles from home) on one tankful of diesel, with a little bit still slopping around in the tank (and the low-fuel warning light just on!).
In the past I've generally sold/part-exchanged my cars after their second birthday.
But not this Megane... why should I?
