Overall reliability

Smooth, comfortable, high tech.

After test driving several makes of car, petrol and hybrid, the C5X stood out for the comfort and value.
I was initially hesitant over a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder in a large car, but it pulls really well, even fully loaded. The hybrid didn't add up for a private buyer, 300 kilos extra (four blokes sitting in the boot!) and £8,000 more.
I don't get the comments about the seats, the front is very comfortable and there is plenty of leg room for adults in the back.
It isn't the sharpest on twisty roads, and the gearbox can make occasional rough changes, but overall it is a very smooth tourer, at the moment a lot of town driving has dropped mpg from it's normal 50 to about 45 which I find amazing.
The tech is confusing at first, the American sat-nav put me off so I used carplay, but the "Hello Citroen" voice activation won me over. You need to be specific, asking for directions to the Trentham Estate in Stoke sent me to New Jersey in America!
