Citroen ZX - Citroen XUD 1.9 NA head on XUD 1.9 TD Block? - coxy65

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit a NA cylinder head, pumps, manifolds etc onto a TD block.... or is the block the same but just need to change the pistons?

I'm not sure what an 'NA' head is but if its a non turbo I would imagine the head would be the same providing it comes from another ZX as they do vary accorcing to the car, the pistons on the turbo would be a bit heftier but otherwise the same.

I have not tried this on an XUD but I did fit a non turbo 2.2 CX head onto a 2.5 td some years ago and it was near enough identical, even the valves were the same size so on that basis I would think the same would apply to the XUD.

You could probably use the existing pump as with no input to the turbo pressure sensor the fueling would be about right.

NA= normally aspirated. ie. not turbo.
