215 is at the smaller end of acceptable on a 6" wheel but still OK according to the tyre calculator on Carbibles...6.00 to 7.5 recommended...unless you already have the steel wheels could you not find a suitable set of correct used alloys on fleabay?
Difference in rolling circumference of 3.3cm or 1.74%, so not a world apart, obviously 1cm wider.
You should be able to tell by feeling round the existing tyres at all angles of steering, make allowance for suspension movement, if there is room for the small extra width/height.....also look at your second set to see if they are broad shouldered, surprising the difference in shoulder shape between tyre makes and models, could make a difference with wheelarch or strut clearance...it does on some MB's with wheelarches.
I reckon they'll be fine, but mention the different size to your insurer.
