Peugeot 407 - depolution system

Peugeot 407 - depolution system - robbob24

Hi, I have a peugeot 407 2.2 auto with a PETROL engine

A message keeps coming up saying depolution system faulty, the car runs as normal, not missing out no loss of power, the message stays on for a few days then dissapears for two three weeks or longer, then will come back on again for a few days or a week or so.

What is this likely to be? Any suggestions would be a help

Could be low on Eloy oil,a faulty tank cap,or the depolution filter itself is starting to clog up.

When mine did that it was a badly fitting eloy tank cap.Whatever the problem you will need it connected to the Peugeot "Planet" computer to find the problem and reset the system.

It's not going to be a DPF issue on a petrol version.

You need to get it code read really to find out what is going on - could be the cat, could be a faulty oxygen sensor or something else.
