Ford Mondeo Mk3 2Lt petrol Duratec - Low-load misfire - goingrusset

The engine has new Plugs, Leads & Coil Pack to successfully cure a misfire. I now have a jerky engine (misfire?) when running along with the engine just keeping up with the road speed (much more dramatic in 4th rather than 5th) - the slightest acceleration and on overrun seems to be OK. Also there is a noticeable lack of pulling power up hills and fuel consumption is down about 10%. Can you point me in the right direction to cure this, please?

Have you checked the spark plug electrodes to see if they are all the right colour? (this only works if you shut down the engine whilst it is malfunctioning).

If they all the wrong colour I'd be inclined to uncouple the lambda sensor and see if things improve without it. It might have been damaged with from the misfiring that you had and be reading a false rich/lean mixture.
