Ford Galaxy - car stereo won't work with engine running - spencer77

My car radio will not work when the engine is running, however if the key is in the ignition with the engine off, it works fine. I assumed it was the radio unit, so bought another, but it's still the same fault. The wiring seems to be OK, but I must be missing something!

Is it the original radio? If not it could be a wiring problem. I have an aftermarket radio in a C5 and it won't work longer than about half a minute with the ignition off, when I turn it on again all the memories have gone.

Hi, I seem to have the same problem wxith a Ford Galaxy MK1.

Radio was working fine till oine day it stopped working when the engine was running. I tried different radios with no luck. Do you recall how you resolved the issue?
