Ford Fiesta Ghia - 2000 1.25 Fiesta Key ? - John6177

Hi,

I have just bought a 2000 reg 1.25 Ford Fiesta Ghia, which is the face lifted model, the key I have with it has central locking as part of the key. I have had fords in the past with solid plastic black key and a red key, but am unsure if this needs a programable key ?

Help will be apprciated

No red key on this year of Fiesta.However ,you will need 2 working keys(that will start the car)if you want to programme another key yourself.From factory ,the car would have been supplied with one remote button key and at least one basic (non remote)key.hth

Yes, that is correct. When the car was purchased new it would have been supplied with one remote key and another plain key. As already said, both are required if it's necessary to programme a further key without a trip to the Ford dealers.

Ford did away with the additional red keys a couple of years before your car was sold, OP.
