BMW320 M Sport - advice please BMW320 M Sport - nucarmanni

I would welcome some comments and thoughts.

I have a 8 year old BMW320 M Sport and the turbo has blown. It looks like it will take about £2.5k for a garage to repair the car (new turbo and a range of other parts). I estimate that the car is worth about £4k and I'm wondering if it's worth the money given that I'm going to replace the can in August.

Does it have any sort of resale value at present (with a broken turbo) as a trade in?

Probably not worth a full retail repair if you plan on selling soon

Maybe stick it for sale on usual formats ( including Fleabay ) describing the full fault , put a reserve say for £2500 , so if it reaches anything over £1500 you are covered ? Sometimes it's worth more than ' minimum ' to a person who has the parts and / or time ?

Try the Turbotechnics- they overhaul turbos. or they used to.

Try the BMW owners webiste- lots of help on there.
