Citroen C1 - Citroen C1 Vibration - Big Bad Bob

Hi Everyone,

Wonder if someone could throw some light on this one for me...

The wife has a Citroen C1, which we've just purchased. The engine is wobbling and vibrates the whole car. This will happen as the revs are coming down but will do it when revved up but not as bad. So much so, if you have the door open, and rev it up, when the revs come back down, just before it hits idle, it will vibrate so much the door wobbles.

The car runs really well, there are no problems while it's being driven, just happens when it's sat on the drive. It seems as though something is off balance. I've done all the usual, taken off the injectors one by one. As you would expect the revs go down when you take each one off and go back up when you put it back on.

The vibration on the run down is the 3cylinder engine.

Its normal, however they get smoother with more miles.

Sorry, I wasnt very clear. The car is new to us, but has done 69,000 miles. Drives like a dream.

I think you will find the vibration is normal. Best to try another C1 to compare.

Great little cars, extremely nippy round town, very flexible engine & soooo economicle

Ours return around 56 around town and 65-72mpg on a run
