Ford Mondeo Titanium X - satnav problem - dmac

Ford Mondeo built in satnav on the 08 plate satnav can't find any GPS signals and thinks it in another part of the country. Is there an easy fix for this or needs to be fixed by a computor wizard.

This happened to my Father and the aerial had come out of the back - quick warranty fix although the dealer said it could equally be a defective aerial.

Duncan112 where is the aerial for the satnav, maybe a stupid question as the one on the roof looks ok.

I think you will find that the roof aerial is a dual band antenna.It serves both the radio and sat nav.Take a close look at the aerial base and mast and they are different in appearance to a car that has no nav system.There are 2 co-axial wires that run from the base mount inside the roof the the rear of radio.hth
