306 2.0 HDI Meridien - 306 Diagnostics - paddy69

Hi!

I hav put my diagnostic machine on a friends Peugeot 306 for them as the engine management light had come on and they said the car has lost all power, and when you put your foot down to overtake anything nothing happens. The car will, however, tootle around at 60. Anyway, these have been thrown up and I wonder if anyone has ANY idea where to start looking for the REAL problem????

Live fuel rail pressure would've helped.

I would clear all the fault codes as some may be historic ! I would check in tank pump for function.

2nd I would check cam timing to make sure belt hasnt jumped ! this can trigger cam/crank correlation ( cam sensor issue ) and this would also cause low AFM reading as well
