My 406 has just failed its MOT as the washers are inoperative - I've replaced the washer pump but to no avail. I've tested the new pump and it works 100% fine - could it be the wiper stalk that is causing the problem - the wipers work ok on all settings but no windscreen washers at all. Is this a common problem with the wiper stalk - seems a lot of them for sale on eBay - Aaaaarrrggghhh !!
