VW Passat 2006 TDi - Front passenger door lock problems - s lyle

Hello,

My front passenger door lock cannot be opened from the outside, but will open okay from the inside. Before I start taking the door apart to have a look , can anybody give me any likely causes.

VW Passat 2006 TDi - Front passenger door lock problems - bazza

Check for damp footwell, water ingress getting into electronic modules, Passat is well known for it. Plenty of info if you google it and also on the Briskoda Forum, under Skoda Superb ( same car with the same problems)
