golf tdi,s reg - loss of power and a horrible noise - eleanor80

I ran out of diesel and since then my car is making a horrible noise like a tractor as soon as i put my foot on the excelerator and it has lost all its power.it struggles to go over 30mph.HELP ME!!!

How did you prime the fuel system after filling up. Is it smoking. Regards Peter

Depending on your engine code, the feul system may not prime itself and you may have air in the system. Is this a distributor injection engine or a common rail system. Regards Peter
