FIAT Punto - Oil top up - Halmer

I've got some 10w/30 fully synthetic for my Nissan.

Can I use this to top up my wife's 2004 petrol Punto that ordinarily uses 10w/40 semi synthetic?

FIAT Punto - Oil top up - Dutchie

A six year old car well run in engine. I can't see any problem topping up with synthetic oil.
