vauxhall zafira 2001 2.0l DTI 16V - Intermitent EML light & loss of power - perksy

Hi all this is my 1st post

I own the above car and over the past week or so the eml light has been comin on. if i turn the engine off then restart it will go out, then on occasions may be fine for a few days then others be back on within minuets, I have an obd II home scan tool to read the fault codes and it says thie are no fault codes stored, any ideas, could the cold weather be causing this ???

The thing i would replace on your zafira is brake switch about £20 same symptons

sudden loss of power until ignition is re-cycled then full power is back on very common fault on vauxhalls Hth Regards Mickeybo
