Ford Fiesta - Ford Fiesta rear glass heater problem - JDog

Hi the problem is that the only half of the rear windsecreen heater works. That is only the top half.

When I switch it on the bottom half clears ok but the top half nothing stays as it is.

I have tried to look for a scratch in the copper but can't see anything. It should be one whole circuit not divided in 2 right?

Check electrical connections especially all earths.You know how lights only glimmer because of poor earthing,well sounds like not enough power is getting through.

First double-check you definitely don`t have a break in the window heater circuit,these can be repaired with some conductivity paints which start for around a fiver.

Ok I'll try to pass a direct earth cable, as I am not very confident of the current state, more so because I had car subjected to an extensive paint job that might have increased insulation between earthing and body work.

If that fails I'll try very close investigation, sherlock style by means of a magnifying glass :)
