Mondeo ST TDCI 2006 - Mondeo rear parking sensor problem - pgrantuk

Hi All

I have just bought a 2006 Mondeo ST TDCI, the rear parking control does not work, nothing is sounded, no beeps or tones when going into reverse, the reverse lights do come one though. I suspect it could be the control module but having looked behind the trim in the boot cannot find the module

Has anyone got any ideas on what the problem could be or where the module is located on the facelift mondeo?

If this is a factory fit system,then the control unit is located behind the left hand boot trim,over wheel arch.I would think it unlikely to be the control unit.Possibly a wiring fault (perhaps previous owner had it disconnected)or the speaker sounder may be faulty which is behind glove box,near fuse box.hth

Thanks for the reply, do you know of any diagrams or what the wiring should look like, from what I could see everything was connected ok, if it's the speaker, could I replace it with any PDC speaker?
