Suzuki SX4 1.6 petrol. - Extending service interval. - TrevL

Comments from experts please. I plan to extend the service interval on my Suzuki by about 2k miles (due 53k, to 55k), because of work commitments. Service interval is 9k on this vehicle and it has been serviced to schedule by Suzuki and the last dealer service used Fuchs high spec oil. My normal driving is 50 miles each way to places of work, usually a dual carriageway medium speed cruise. I intend to keep the vehicle for a lot more miles. My view is that the extended interval will not be in any way detrimental to the engine. Vehicle is 3 yrs old. Does anyone disagree?.

Why not slip the oil change in yourself and get the rest of the service done when you have the time, it's out of warranty anyway and would be going 2K over service interval.

Oil changes i one thing i wouldn't skimp on keeping a car long term.
