Volkswagen Golf V / Mazda 3 - ECU repair - ABS/ESP module problem - eustace

Does anybody have experience of getting the existing ECU repaired to rectify the ABS/ESP module problem, as opposed to replacing the ECU?

HJ's CBCB gives the following link ecutesting.com/vw_golf_touran_abs_pump_module.html

as details of a firm carrying out ECU repairs to address this problem.

Has anyone any experience of using the services of the above company?

Are they able to resolve the problems in all cases? Please advice. Any feedback will be helpfull.

I am trying to decide whether its worth going ahead an buying a Mazda 3 (without ABS), despite the risk of ECU failure, if the problem can be rectified without having to spend £1500.

Thanks in advance.
