Points Removal - Armitage Shanks {p}

I am coming to the time when I can apply to have 3 points removed from my licence. The robbing carphounds at DVLA want £20 for doing this. However, I note that a re-issue of a licence for a change of address is free.

If I did an address change, after the date of the points of expiry, is there any chance that the licence would come back with the points removed, automatically?

Yes the points would come off.

Bet it would cost you more than £20 to move house although !

Yes but the move would be a 'paper' move to my daughter's house and back again at the end of my 2 weeks stay. Cost would be 2 x recorded delivery.

Potentially a fine of £1000 for providing an incorrect address to the DVLA but unlikely they would pick it up or prosecute for it.
