Hi there - apologies if this topic has already been answered elsewhere but I couldn't find anything with a search!

I have a 2003 VW Passat TDI 1.9 automatic estate which is regularly serviced etc and had a new alternator pulley fitted a couple of months ago. Has about 48,000 miles on it.

Today it did a funny thing 3 times - when it changed between gears (I was driving around town so between the lower gears in case that makes a difference) it did a strange jolt/jump.

It might have been my imagination but i think it was when I applied a bit more pressure to the accelerator eg. pulling away from lights or speeding up to overtake. The rest of the time the gears seemed to change fine.

I have a lovely man at a local garage and am wondering if I should take it in to be checked.....though nothing has come up on the dash and it was fine for the final leg of the journey.

Any ideas or advice would be gratefully appreciated!
