Advise on driving Blackpool to London on 22/12. - seasiders rock
Who drew the short straw, Blackpool to London on the 22/12 and returning with family on the 23. Any views on how bad this is going to be, hoping with kids on holiday and a lot of folks taking the whole week off.
Train is not an option, to much luggage.

Camden Town, thats the easy bit from the M1 Brent Cross , 20+ years as a courier and private hire.
The M6, M1 is what,s worrying me.

All construction trades and schools will finish on the 16th for two weeks and most people do stay at home for Christmas.

We travel every Christmas and never had a problem - I've found it's one of the best times to do long distance. We'll be doing a 200 mile trip to the Cotswolds on the 23rd and I don't expect any problems.

I'd rather drive 200 miles than go to the local supermarket on the 22nd!

Unless driving very early or very late, the M6 toll is worth it. If you're returning the week after Christmas, it may not be necessary.

Thanks for the replys folks. If i take it easy could be fun, Asda the evening of the 23rd is probably going to be the nighmare.
