Cooper S - New Model Identification - desmrics
Does anyone know how to spot the new model (ie not supercharged) Mini Cooper S? Is there any chance that a late model 2006 Cooper S could be one of the newer models?

They didn't just swap engines used. The whole car is new isn't it? No body panel is shared. The centre speedometer got even bigger too. Lots and lots of changes.

Lots of differences when you look closely, most obvious is that the new one has round headlights when the original's were oval.

Thanks Cheddar. Just what I was looking for - a quick failsafe way of knowing the difference. The lack of replies makes me think that most people would struggle to tell the difference betweennew and old!

If you do a search on Auto Trader or a similar site you can get pictures of both models on the same page and the difference is easy to see.
