Great car, pity about the dealer - D P Dance
I collected my new Mazda6 on Wednesday from a main dealer in Berkshire, a member of the Co-op.

Although it was a new for old on a total loss, I had to pay for it myself as the dealer had "forgotton" to invoice my insurance company. The insurance company, Saga, had placed the order on 20 August and at that time stressed to the dealer the need to get the invoice back to them on time. They did in fact receive it yesterday.

The insurance company need 10 -14 days to issue a cheque and then the dealer has to clear it before I get my money back. It looks as though I have loaned someonr £16,000 +

I am not criticizing Saga in any way, their have behaved faultlessly, but I find it incredible that a main dealer should treat its customers thusly.

I have of course written to the C.E.O. of the Co-op, copied to Mazda, but, what would have happened if I had been unable to raise the money, I am due to drive to Spain in just over a week..
